Bob Worden is the Administrator and Partner of Pinnacle Physical Therapy. He has over forty years of experience in the fields of Athletic Training and Physical Therapy. Before opening Pinnacle Physical Therapy in 2004, he was the Administrator at Healthsouth Sports Medicine and Orthopedic clinic in Plaistow for eleven years and also served as the New England Regional Clinical Coordinator.
Bob has been active in High School and Collegiate Sports medicine, providing athletic training services for Newton North High School, Rivers School, Tyngsboro High School and several high school programs in the Merrimack Valley area. He also served as Director of Athletic Training at UMass-Lowell from 1981-1988, where thirty two of his students completed their Athletic Trainer certification under his mentorship. During his tenure at UMass- Lowell, the University won the National Championships in Basketball and Ice Hockey. He also worked with All- American athletes in Cross Country, Track and Field, Crew, Soccer, Swimming, Baseball and Wrestling. Several of these athletes went on to compete in professional sports as well as the Olympics.
His Master’s thesis on High School soccer injuries has also been an important part of his work. He founded the Independent School League Medical Council and has been a driving force in placing Certified Athletic Trainers at the High School level. As a founding member of the National Athletic Trainers Association Corporate and Industrial Committee, he was recognized by the N.A.T.A. for promoting the ATC in the corporate setting.
Bob specializes in the rehabilitation of sports and orthopedic injuries. He has certification in Graston soft tissue mobilization and kinesiotaping. Years of extensive experience and course work in orthopedics have given him advanced skills treating ankle, knee and upper extremity injuries. He has also achieved Advance Proficiency in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation for PTA’s by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Bob is currently on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association as the Chair of the Public Relations Committee and also serves as a member of the Legislative Committee. He has been honored by the chapter for service to PTA’s and leading important initiatives such as his legislation to reduce co-payments for patients attending therapy. He is currently serving on the APTA Task Force on Physical Therapy service delivery models.
Bob is very proud that Pinnacle Physical Therapy is a strong community leader. Pinnacle has fundraised over $150,000 in cash and food contributions to the Plaistow Community Food Pantry over the past decade. He also works closely with the Plaistow and Atkinson Lions Club and helped raise over $10,000 for scholarships for Camp Pride. This NH Lions Club program provides financial support for children with diabetes to attend summer camp. The Lions Club of New Hampshire has presented Bob with the distinguished Granite State fellow award and recognized him for his service to Camp Pride.
Lastly, Bob has been a long time member of the Plaistow Area Commerce Exchange where he initiated the annual PACE food drive which has raised over $10,000 for the food pantry. In 2011, he was named businessman of the year.
